Our Passion Twist Hair Water Wave in 20″ has a nice texture to it that makes it suitable for twisting with natural hair. This texture was created for those that are looking to create passion twists but want it to blend better with their natural texture. As traditionally hair used for passion twists are silky and don’t blend well with natural hair. This is suitable for any curl pattern from 3A to tighter curls at 4C. The hair is also easier to twist with as it is less likely to slip.
The hair can be used fluffed or unfluffed and you will still achieve similar results. When you are prepping the hair for install for twists, fluff the hair up but avoid fluffing up the ends. This keeps the ends wavy and intact to minimise frizz. Or if you do decide to split the hair, split it with care to help keep the ends smooth and wavy. Check out our blog post for an installation tutorial. We recommend using gel to twist the hair to help blend it even more with your natural hair. We also recommend using hair mousse or a hair moisturiser to set the hair when finished.
We love water wave hair as it can be used to create multiple styles as it is so versatile. You can also use it to wrap your hair to create faux locs, wrap the roots of crochet faux locs or even for full on distressed locs.
Recommended Amount of Packs
We recommend 4- 6 packs for passion twists. Our pack size is quite large containing 25 strands per pack.
Check out our detailed blog post on how to maintain this hair after installation. Wrapping the hair in a silk or satin bonnet or scarf at night is recommended to prolong the hairstyle.
